What am I actually paying per closed deal when five other agents get my lead?
Three minutes. Six inputs. Two numbers you can't unsee: what a shared lead really costs you per closed deal, and how much of your monthly spend is buying a lead somebody else will win.
Defaults are industry benchmarks, labeled. Change every one of them to your own numbers — the result is only as honest as the inputs.

Pull these from your vendor invoice and your CRM. If you don't know one, use the benchmark and come back to it.

Same spend, two ways
Move the same money from shared packs into leads nobody else gets. Exclusive leads cost more each — so here's the close rate you'd need just to break even, and what happens above it.

How this is calculated
Cost per lead = monthly lead spend ÷ leads per month.
Cost per closed deal = cost per lead ÷ close rate.
Race tax = spend × (agents per lead − 1) ÷ agents per lead. With equal speed, your expected share of a lead sold to N agents is 1/N; the rest of that lead's price is buying someone else's deal. It's a model, not a measurement — your CRM timestamps tell you whether you're faster or slower than equal.
Exclusive scenario = same spend at (cost per lead × multiple), so fewer leads, each yours alone. Break-even close rate = your current close rate × the multiple. Above that, every point is profit. The "shown" exclusive close rate is the break-even rate — we don't publish a close rate we haven't earned with verified client data.
Benchmarks (4–6 agents per shared lead; 1–2% close on shared packs; 2–6 hour typical first contact) are industry figures describing shared lead packs. None of them are DC AI Solutions' results.
Exclusivity fixes the denominator. Speed fixes the numerator.
You can't buy either from a lead vendor. The Lead Response Audit is twenty minutes with your CRM open: we confirm these numbers against your real timestamps, find out how many agencies actually got your leads, and tell you honestly whether there's anything here for you. If your leads are already exclusive and you're already under five minutes, we'll both get our afternoon back.
